Ice patrol service during winter months

Do your wind turbine blades suffer from icing during winter months? Our ice patrol team will be there to remove the ice when needed.

Ice can have a serious impact on a wind turbine’s annual energy output, and in the worst case, force the turbine to be shut down until the ice is gone. In addition to production losses, the accumulated ice creates a load the turbine and its components are not designed to carry, or ice shedding from the blades can hit and damage other components.

Our skylifts can be parked within a safe distance from the turbine, and the basket with a protective ceiling can reach the blade starting from top, so that our team can manually and safely remove the ice from the blade, without harming the surface of the blade. Our ice patrol team will be located within a short distance from your wind farm, and will be available within 24 hours when icing occurs. The team can also carry out blade inspections during the winter time, which will enable you to plan your blade maintenance well before the spring.

Be prepared and minimize the downtime due to icing – contact us to find out more about the ice patrol service.
